@John1455, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP ENVY 6022 All-in-One Printer Connectivity!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP ENVY 6022 All-in-One Printer is not working after connecting it by a USB 2.0 cable, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Check the Connection:

  • Ensure that you are using a compatible USB 2.0 cable. The HP ENVY 6022 supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0.
  • Make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.

Printer Power and Configuration:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected to a power source.
  • Check the printer's control panel for any error messages or alerts.

Install Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that the necessary printer drivers are installed on your computer. You can download and install the latest printer drivers from the HP Support website.

Restart Devices:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting the printer and the computer can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a few moments, and then turn them back on.

Check Device Manager (Windows):

  • On a Windows computer, open the Device Manager and check for any issues with the USB drivers or the printer driver.

Try a Different USB Port:

  • If you have multiple USB ports on your computer, try connecting the printer to a different USB port.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up to date, and check for any firmware updates for the printer.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Uninstall the printer software from your computer, then reinstall it using the installation CD or from the HP Support website.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
