My HP Deskjet 3512...scanner no longer works but printer does. How do I get it to stop printing an alignmnet page and asking me to scan it? This is driving me crazy. I need to use up my 61 ink before I buy a new printer. Help! thanks.

@Kathy289, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Deskjet 3512!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Cancel the Alignment Process: When the printer automatically prints an alignment page and asks you to scan it, simply ignore this step. If it continues to print the alignment page every time you start the printer, you might need to cancel the alignment operation in the printer settings.
Use Printer Properties:
- Go to the 'Control Panel' on your computer.
- Find 'Devices and Printers' or 'Printers & Scanners'.
- Select your HP Deskjet 3512 printer.
- Right-click and choose 'Printer Properties'.
- Look for an option related to 'Alignment' or 'Print Quality'. Disable or cancel any ongoing alignment processes.
Reset Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall outlet.
- Turn on the printer. This might reset the settings and stop the alignment page from printing.
Skip the Alignment:
- After the alignment page is printed, just proceed to cancel the prompt for scanning the page.
- You can continue to use the printer as usual without scanning the alignment page.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
