macOS 10.12 Sierra

am using mac os updated version 10.12 and installing hp office jet 4500 drivers but not able to find. is that comptabile for this os.

I saw your post on how your HP Officejet 4500 printer and you want the driver to install in Mac computer. I am happy to help you with this issue!

 

Click here and to download the driver for Mac 10.12 Sierra.

 

Follow the below steps to install the printer.

  1. Click the Apple menu, then click System Preferences.

  2. Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

  3. Check if the name of your printer displays in the Printers list.

  4. If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, then continue to the next step.

  5. Click the Use or Print Using menu, then select the name of your printer.

  6. Click Add to add the printer to the list.

  7. Close the System Preferences window.

  8. Try to print

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

I did that able to print and scan from pc but am not able to scan manually from printer.Is there any way to resolve this issue?Its look like full feature driver is not avialable or compatible?

I appreciate your time and effort.

 

I understand that you are unable to scan from the printer.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • Are you getting any error message while scanning?

Meanwhile:

 

Perform a hard reset on the printer.

  • Remove the power cable from the printer when it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the power button for 30secs.
  • Connect the power cable to the printer and directly to the wall outlet.
  • Turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Thank for the reply sandy, there is no error message on printer. Hard reset is done still facing the same problem while scanning.

Thanks for the response.

 

Open the scanner lid and initiate a scan and check if the scanner light is light up and moving across the scanner glass.

 

If the light is not lit up.

Make sure the printer is connected to the wall outlet directly.
