The error you're encountering indicates that the application has a side-by-side configuration issue which generally relates to problems with the Visual C++ Redistributable libraries on your system. Here are steps to resolve the issue:

 

Check the Application Event Log:

  • Access the Event Viewer in Windows to look at the error logs for more detailed information regarding which libraries are causing the problem.
  • You can open the Event Viewer by typing "Event Viewer" into the start menu search, go to "Windows Logs," and then select "Application" to view logs.

Reinstall or Repair Visual C++ Redistributable Packages:

  • Visit the Microsoft website and download the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for your version of Windows (both x86 and x64 if you are on a 64-bit OS).
  • Install or repair these packages to ensure that all components are properly installed.

Use the sxstrace.exe Tool:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Use the command sxstrace.exe to trace the error further. You can use it to log the errors happening during the execution:
    sxstrace Trace -logfile:sxstrace.etl
    (Run the application that causes the error)
    sxstrace Parse -logfile:sxstrace.etl -outfile:sxstrace.txt
  • Open sxstrace.txt for detailed information on what is causing the error.

Reinstall HP Software:

  • Uninstall the current installation of the HP LaserJet M1005 MFP driver and software.
  • Download the latest version from HP's official website and reinstall it.
