@X13, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're having trouble with the communication between your computer and your LaserJet Pro MFP M125 printer. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and hopefully fix the issue:

Check Physical Connections:

Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the computer via USB or network (if it's a wireless or network printer).

If using USB, try a different USB port or cable.

For wireless printers, make sure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and the computer is on the same network.

Restart Printer and Computer:

Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and your computer can resolve communication issues.

Check Printer Status:

On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click the LaserJet Pro MFP M125 and select See what's printing.

If there’s a job stuck in the queue, cancel it.

Also, check if the printer is showing as "Offline." If it is, right-click the printer and select Use Printer Online.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer through Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Reinstall the downloaded drivers and restart your computer

Check Printer Spooler Service:

Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Scroll down and locate the Print Spooler service.

Right-click it and select Restart.

Right-click again, go to Properties, and make sure the startup type is set to Automatic.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
