Hi @MUMI17,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for contacting us regarding your HP DeskJet 2723e All-in-One Printer and installation issue on macOS 11.7.10 Big Sur. The drivers are available for Big Sur, and your printer is supported. If you're unable to install it, here’s a step-by-step process to help get your printer working properly.
Step-by-Step Installation for macOS Big Sur (11.7.10)
1. Uninstall Any Previous HP Printer Entries
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners
- Select your HP printer (if listed) and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
Download & Install the HP Smart App
HP Smart is required to set up and manage your printer on macOS.
🔗 Download: HP printer setup (HP Smart app) | HP® Support
- Open HP Smart and sign in or create an HP account.
- Add your printer by following the on-screen instructions.
💡 Ensure the printer is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
3. (Optional) Install Full Feature Software
If you prefer, you can also install the full driver package manually:
🔗 HP DeskJet 2723e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
Choose:
- macOS 11 from the dropdown
- Download and install the HP Easy Start installer
4. Reset Printing System (If Needed)
If the setup still fails:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners
- Right-click (or Ctrl+Click) in the printer list area
- Choose “Reset printing system…”
- Re-add the printer via HP Smart or the “+” button
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
