@Dick483, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Thanks for the details. If your HP Spectre x360 (13-4003dx) running Windows 11 can't print but the printer works (e.g., copying from the printer menu works), the issue is likely related to how your laptop communicates with the printer. Let's walk through a step-by-step troubleshooting guide:

Check Printer Connection

Is it a USB printer? Make sure the USB cable is securely connected. Try another USB port.

Is it a wireless printer? Ensure both the printer and the laptop are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart Everything

Restart your laptop.

Turn the printer off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

Try printing again.

Check Windows Printer Settings

Press Windows + I to open Settings.

Go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

Make sure your printer is listed and set as default.

If it's not listed, click "Add device" to re-add it.

If it's listed but offline, click it and choose "Remove", then re-add it.

Run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter

Press Windows + I > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Scroll to Printer and click Run.

Follow the on-screen prompts and let it fix any issues it finds.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
