I subscribed to the Instant Ink program and cancelled on May 2. Was not satisfied with the subscription. I ordered new HP ink cartridges and now my printer will not work at all. I have worked on this all day and am very frustrated.

@Karen5537, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Cancelled Instant Ink Subscription and Printer Not Working!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When you cancel HP Instant Ink, you can continue printing with Instant Ink supplies until the end of your current billing cycle. At the end of the billing cycle, you must remove Instant Ink cartridges and purchase Original HP Ink cartridges directly from the retailer of your choice to continue printing.
Remove Instant Ink Cartridges:
- Ensure you have removed all Instant Ink cartridges from your printer.
Install New Genuine HP Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure the new cartridges you purchased are genuine HP cartridges. Refilled or remanufactured cartridges might not be recognized correctly.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait a few moments, and then turn it back on.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there is any available firmware update for your printer and install it, as sometimes this can resolve compatibility issues.
- Firmware updates can be found on the HP Support website.
Troubleshooting Common Issues:
Printer Not Recognizing Cartridges:
- Ensure the cartridges are seated properly in their respective slots.
- Clean the contacts on the cartridges and printer using a lint-free cloth.
Restarting Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source for about a minute and then plug it back in.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
