@Rasbokil,

Thank you for reaching out to the HP Support community!

  • What is the model of your printer?
  • Are the printer and the laptop connected to the same network?
  • The Laptop that you have is that Windows or MAC?
  • Have you installed the printer drivers on the laptop? Were you able to print before?

Please provide the above information to assist you with accurate resolution.

Installing HP Full-featured drivers on your PC may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Check the connectivity

  • Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Obtain the IP address of the printer by tapping the wireless icon https://support.hp.com/document/attachments/images/162/c02131772.gif on the printer screen
  • Type in this IP address in a web browser and hit enter. If you get any security notification, click on proceed to this website.
  • check if it redirects you to the printer's EWS page, try to print a test page.
  • If you are able to print a test page, proceed to the next step.
  • To know how to connect the printer back to your wireless network, perform step 1 and 2 from this document.

Step 2: Clean uninstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
  2.  Select your HP Printer
  3.  Select Uninstall
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
  10.  Select Ok
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Step 3: Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the printer on my laptop. I can print from our phones and tabs but none of our laptops.

@Rasbokil,

Do you have any security software or antivirus installed on your laptops?

Let's check the connectivity between the printer and the laptops.

  • On the printer control panel touch the  icon
  • Obtain the IP address of the printer
  • Open up the Run utility with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
  • Type "cmd" and hit ok

  • A command prompt window(black screen) would open up
  • Type "ping the IP address of your printer" for example: "ping 192.168.1.3" and hit the enter key.

  • Run the ping test and share the results

Also, try this

  • On the Laptops, open any web browser
  • Type the printer’s IP address into the Internet browser address line, and then press Enter to open the printer EWS.

  • If a website security certificate displays, click Continue to access the EWS page

  • Go to the Tools Menu and click on "Print Self Test Page'
  • Check if that prints

Let me know what happens

@Rasbokil,

Let's try these steps:

Step 1: Clear the print queue.

  • Turn off the printer using the power button and then unplug the printer power cord from the power outlet.
  • In Windows, Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
  • Type 'services.msc' in the text field and click ok.

  • In the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and then select Stop.

  • After the service stops, close the Services window.
  • In Windows, Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
  • Type ''C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS' ' in the text field and click ok.

  • Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.
  • Shut down your computer.
  • Connect the printer power cord to the power outlet, and then turn on the printer.
  • Turn on the computer.

Step 2: Remove and add the printer

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Select your Printer > Right click on the printer > Remove Device
    • Remove all the duplicate entries of the printer(if any).
    • Reboot the PC.
  • Now let's add the printer again
    • Obtain the IP address of the printer by touching the icon.
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer
    • Select ' The Printer I want isn't listed'
    • Select 'Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname' and click on next.
    • Enter the IP address under 'Hostname or IP address' field and click on next
    • Finish adding the printer.
    • Try to print again
