I have tried clicking the Instant Ink icon on my printer interface but every time I try to connect it, it keeps telling me the printer is updating and it will take several minutes. This is not the case. I have checked my printer for updates and it is on automatic and it tells me my printer is up-to-date with its updates. It is connected to the internet and everything, but the 'update' is the only thing causing issues. I cannot print from anywhere at the moment at all. I have tried disconnecting my printer from the internet and reconnecting it, this hasn't worked and tried the usual off and on again. Nothing.

What do I do? Please help!

Hi @lady_pr7,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your printer cannot connect to HP Instant Ink, it stops printing and displays a message.

Printers enrolled in Instant Ink require an active internet connection for Web Services to function properly. Web Services uses the internet to enable communication between your printer and its web-connected features, such as ink level and page count monitoring.

Note: Disconnecting your printer from the internet for an extended period of time or using a USB-only connection can temporarily limit what the printer can do until the internet connection is restored.

For more information, go to Can't print on an HP+ or Instant Ink enrolled printer.
