We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're unable to install your HP DeskJet 4255e All-in-One Printer on Windows 11, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Check Compatibility
- Ensure that your printer model is compatible with Windows 11.
- The HP DeskJet 4255e should be compatible, but you can confirm this on HP's official support website.
Use HP Smart App
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
- Open HP Smart and sign in with your HP account (or create one).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
Download Drivers Manually
If HP Smart doesn’t work, try installing drivers manually:
- Go to the HP Support Page.
- Search for "HP DeskJet 4255e".
- Download the latest drivers and software for Windows 11.
- Install the downloaded file and follow the on-screen setup instructions.
Check Printer Connection
- USB Connection:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected.
- Try a different USB port.
- Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure the printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart the printer and router if needed.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP support site.
- Open it and follow the steps to diagnose and fix installation issues.
Add Printer Manually (If Needed)
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add Device and select your printer.
- If it’s not listed, choose Add manually → Use a TCP/IP address or hostname → Enter the printer’s IP address (found on the printer display or settings).
Restart and Test
- Restart your computer and printer after installation.
- Try printing a test page from Settings → Printers & Scanners → Select your printer → Print a test page.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
