Hi @BALKHIS ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2336 printer. Let's troubleshoot the problem to get it resolved:

1. Check the Printer Status

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and shows no error lights or error messages.
  • Verify that the printer is properly connected to your desktop (via USB, if that's how it's connected).

2. Set the Printer as Default

  • On your Windows desktop:
    1. Open the Control Panel and go to Devices and Printers.
    2. Locate your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2336 in the list.
    3. Right-click the printer and select Set as default printer.

3. Clear Print Queue

  • Sometimes, a stuck document in the print queue can prevent printing:
    1. Open the Control PanelDevices and Printers.
    2. Right-click your printer and choose See what’s printing.
    3. Click on Printer in the menu bar and select Cancel All Documents.

4. Check Printer Driver

  • Update or reinstall the printer driver:
    1. Visit the HP Support Page and download the latest driver for the DeskJet Ink Advantage 2336 compatible with your OS.
    2. Uninstall the current printer driver from Control PanelPrograms and Features.
    3. Restart your desktop and install the downloaded driver.

5. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • This tool automatically detects and resolves many common printer issues.

6. Check USB Connection

  • If you are using a USB connection:
    • Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.
    • Use a different USB port on your desktop.
    • Ensure the USB cable is not damaged.

7. Test Print

  • Try printing a test page:
    1. Open Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties.
    3. Under the General tab, click Print Test Page.

8. Check Windows Settings

  • Ensure the printer spooler service is running:
    1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
