I'm using an HP Omni Book windows 11 laptop with an HP 8034e all in one printer. I can print a document but cannot scan. How can I fix this?

@Elic2, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Scanning Issues with HP 8034e on Windows 11!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To resolve the scanning issue with your HP 8034e All-in-One printer and your Windows 11 HP Omni Book laptop, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Check Printer and Scanner Connection

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and properly connected to your laptop via USB cable or Wi-Fi.
  2. Run a printer self-test to confirm it is operational.

Step 2: Install or Update HP Software

Install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store:

  • Open the Microsoft Store.
  • Search for "HP Smart".
  • Download and install the app.

Update or re-install the HP drivers and software:

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Search for your printer model, HP 8034e.
  • Download and install the latest Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Step 3: Set the Scanner in HP Smart

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Select "Set up a new device" if your printer is not already shown.
  3. After ensuring that the printer is displayed, click on the printer icon to access printer details.
  4. Select Scan and check if you can initiate a scan from the app.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
