Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I understand that quiet mode is not turning off. Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

  2. Touch Preferences.

  3. Touch the box next to Quiet Mode to switch the setting to On.

  4. Touch OK.

To turn off Quiet Mode, repeat these steps, and switch the setting to OFF.

And, also refer to YouTube: Print in Quiet Mode on HP Printers

  • NOTE: Make sure to print on plain paper, and select Normal print quality from the printer properties of your software application when printing documents in Quiet Mode.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I finally got quite mode to turn off by performing the following steps

       1. On the printer control panel, swipe the display DOWN, and then touch Setup.

       2. Touch the ARROW next to Quiet Mode to switch the setting to On.

       3. TOUCH RETURN SYMBOL. THERE IS NO OK BUTTON.

To turn off Quiet Mode, repeat these steps, and switch the setting to OFF.

Your solution didn't actually correct my problem, the correct solution is my response above. Your solution is the accepted way to make the change to quiet mode, but swiping to the left has no effect, I was able to find the correct solution be accidentally swiping down.

Thank for attempting to answer my question
