Hi Raider5785

When you change your router or network settings, your printer's network configuration may need to be updated. Follow these steps to reconnect your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 printer to your new router:

Step 1: Reset Network Settings

  1. Restore Network Defaults:
    • From the printer control panel, go to the Network or Wireless menu.
    • Select Restore Network Defaults or a similar option to reset the network settings on your printer.

Step 2: Reconnect to the New Network

  1. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • Again, from the printer control panel, navigate to the Network or Wireless menu.
    • Select the Wireless Setup Wizard.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new wireless network.

Step 3: Accessing the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)

To access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) to change settings:

  1. Find the Printer's IP Address:

    • Print a network configuration page from the printer to locate its IP address.
      • Go to the Network menu, select Network Config., and press OK.
      • The IP address will be listed in the report.
  2. Enter the IP Address in a Browser:

    • Open a web browser on your computer.
    • Enter the printer’s IP address into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Login to the EWS:

    • When prompted for a username and password, use the default credentials:
      • Username: admin
      • Password: If you did not set a password, it may be the WPS PIN which you can find by printing a Network Configuration Report. If you changed these settings and don't remember, you might need to reset the printer to its factory settings. Check your printer manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

Step 4: Updating Printer Software and Settings

  1. Update Firmware:

    • Once logged in to the EWS, go to the Settings or Maintenance menu.
    • Look for a firmware update option and update the printer to the latest firmware if available.
  2. Reconnect and Test:

    • Ensure the printer and your computer are both connected to the new network.
    • Test the connection by printing a test page.

These steps should help you reconnect your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer to your new router and resolve the access issue.

I hope the above is helpful
