have a deskjet 1510. Recently purchased Dell inspiron 7706 running win 11. 4 times in the past month I've gotten the message "cannot find printer" or something similar when powering the 'puter up the first thing in the morning and trying to print. Yes, printer is on and connected. Have to reinstall the driver. What's going on? What a pain.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting the "cannot find printer" error, I am glad to assist you.
Uninstall the Printer driver from the root level and reinstall the printer driver
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.

- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
