LJ MFP M428
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everybody; I am new here. I have to use a special scan and archive software which seems to work only with TWAIN not WIA. That had been without any problems using my old Brother multi-printer for scanning. Now I purchased a hp LJ MFP M428 and I have no idea how to get it communicating via TWAIN. I couldn't even find a word about Twain-driver in the booklet.

I am strongly concerned about this - have I bought the wrong printer or is it my poor knowledge about these things?

Maybe someone can help me?

Thanks a lot!

Nils

Hi @Overscan

-.-.-.

1. Try the driver download from the next link:

2. Restart your computer PC.

3. Then try again to scan with your scanner.

Hi ferRX, thanks a lot for your rapid reply. I have already tried to install this driver package, but perhaps I made some mistakes during the installing process. I will try it again the next days and I will report. Could it be some network or firewall problem? As far as I remember there appeared some useless icons on my desktop (e.g. a scanner icon that didn't work). Furthermore, I will try to get as much system info as possible for this posting.

Best regards

Nils
