HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I've had my printer setup and working properly on a Dell XPS for over a year.  The one day, I could no longer print.  All other functions worked.  The printer was recognized and online but just wouldn't print.  After doing some research, it looked like I needed to reinstall drivers.  So, I removed all old drivers and SW and tried to reload.  During reloading drivers and SW, the process freezes during the activation phase and the drivers do not load.  Seems all the other functions work again (like scanning) but now when I try to print, my laptop does not even see the printer and the drivers have not loaded.  HELP!

I think you need to start over. Reset the printer and reconfigure it

An HP Officejet Pro 7740 printer supports 2.4GHz wireless operations only, it does not support dual-band wireless or a 5GHz band.

Please contact your ISP and make sure that 2.4GHz wireless networking is enabled with a unique SSID and not an identical one to the 5GHz band, then connect the printer to the 2.4GHz wireless.

Try resetting, there appear to be two ways and a third is secret it seems.

I think this is the secret menu reset.

Let me know if you have a flex system (WiFi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated.
