Cannot print envelopes with proper orientation. Using Libre program. Setup printer for envelopes # 10 with proper orientation.

Prints in portrait, not landscape.

I just tried this to the extent of setting up the envelope using Libre.

The setup is inconsistent - checking the Formatting tab then (Printer) Setup "seems" to work to adjust the printer Properties > Shortcut for size / orientation (landscape).   Clicking OK to get out of Properties and return to the Libre document merge setup "seems" like it might print.  That said, if the formatting menu for the envelope is re-opened, the Properties might be adjusted properly or might (second time around) mis-fire and not set up properly.  Am I using the software incorrectly?  Likely - I do not generally use Libre except for testing.  Envelopes are - in my experience - particularly troublesome using the "Word-like-but-not-Word" software.

What works?

At least if you don't try to "re-edit" the setup, using Format > Envelope might work as long as you remember to check / set the orientation before printing.

An alternative...

Still using Libre

Load the envelope into the printer according to the instructions in the printer user guide.

Create a Libre document in the shape and size of the #10 envelope

Use Format > Page Style to set the parameters for the job

Click into Properties to verify / adjust the Shortcut and job settings

Click OK to save changes to Properties and exit the Properties menu

Recheck the Print page menu and click Print
