Good Evening, I have not been able to set up the printer I purchased 12/30/2025 due to receiving errors.  The last error I received when installing the drivers was UU_400_EB000A9900.   What does this error mean and how can I fix it?

Hi @Tee1211,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Sorry for the inconvenience you're experiencing. The error code "UU_400_EB000A9900" when installing drivers for your HP printer typically indicates a problem related to software installation or a conflict with your system.

Here are some steps you can follow to try and resolve this issue:

Check Compatibility: Ensure your printer drivers are compatible with your operating system. You can verify this on the HP support website by entering your printer model to find the right software drivers.

Update Windows or OS: Make sure your operating system is up-to-date. Installing the latest updates can resolve compatibility issues.

Temporary Disable Firewall and Antivirus: Sometimes, security software can interfere with driver installation. Try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software while installing the driver to see if this resolves the issue.

Clean Boot: Perform a clean boot to start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This can help determine if background programs are interfering with the installation.

Uninstall Existing Drivers: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select "Remove device". Then, go to Control Panel > Programs and uninstall any existing HP printer software.

Reinstall Drivers: Download the latest drivers for your specific printer model from the HP Support website. Be sure to download based on your operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
