Hi,
I own a HP printer CM1312Nfi laser color printer, after upgrading MACOS, It is telling me that it is harmful and may damage PC. I can't print anything. The driver was not updated for ages from HP. I am not the only one having this issue. When is HP going to actually to fix this? It is already two months!

Hi Shlomil,
My MACOS version is 11.1 Big Sur.
My Printer is HP Photosmart C309.
If you have a look at the attached file you will notice that Drivers are not available.... So I don't know why you are saying that this was fixed a while back !!!!!
click on the link : https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-premium-fax-all-in-one-printer-series...
and look at the latest MACOS version available.....

Hi @VDL-PT,
This post refer to a CM1312Nfi printer with an unknown MacOS version.
you are talking about another printer model, you are talking about (maybe) another OS, I'm saying that this was fixed a while back for the specific user while referring to another model and to a Catalina or Mojave OS, and possibly the OS version, you are referring to a completely different scenario so please don't mix among each other.
Please create a new topic on this matter, for your specific printer model and OS version.

Shlomil,
I had already posted the following under this post : https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Software-drivers-for-c309a-using-Mac-Bi...
but for your knowledge... the error message "Fax.backend will damage your computer..... also pop-up on my operating system when I what to add my printer !!!
So I took the opportunity of this post to also refer to my problem...

Hi,
Try following below version of the HP Easy Start Utility:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/ASU/HP_Easy_St...
As soon as you open HP Easy Start, click the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software...
Read any warnings that display, and then click Continue. When prompted, type your administrator user name and password and follow the steps on screen.
Click Set Up New Device, and then follow the instructions to reinstall your printer with HP Easy Start and check if that may work.
If HP Easy Start cannot complete your printer installation, from the HP Easy Start menu select Preferences.
Click on HP Easy Start.log and the log folder will launch, please reply me back via a Private Message with the log content attached, please clarify if you may not able to access private messaging.

Please carefully go through my steps @Stanley008, you are not following them as listed.
The Uninstall process is prior of selecting any printer, you should access it as soon as you launch HP Easy Start, before even accepting the EULA...
Also the same for the log, please go through the steps exactly as shown
