Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

trying to update printer firmware.  when I download the firmware install app and run on my Mac I get the error

“HP Firmware Updater.app” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software."  HP needs to fix its updater app.  what is the date code on the firmware included in the app. can I just get a firmware file by itself?
