Hi @FMM125

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer is stuck at the firmware update screen, here are steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer: Use the power button or disconnect the power cord directly from the back of the printer.
  2. Disconnect power: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait: Leave the power cord disconnected for at least 30 seconds.
  4. Reconnect: Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  5. Turn on: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Step 2: Update Firmware Using a USB Flash Drive

If the issue persists, you might need to update the firmware using a USB flash drive.

Download Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support page and locate the latest firmware for your printer model.
  • Download the firmware file to your computer.

Prepare USB Flash Drive:

  • Format a USB flash drive (FAT32 is recommended).
  • Transfer the downloaded firmware file to the USB flash drive.

Install Firmware:

  • Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on the printer.
  • The printer should automatically detect the update and start the process. Follow any on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Check Printer Firmware Status

If the firmware update does not initiate properly from the USB flash drive, you may need to verify if there are further issues with the printer or the firmware update process.
