HP 932C DeskJet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two HP 932C DeskJet printers.  Neither will print yellow color (yellow is missing from test page as well as in color printing).  Tried new HP ink cartridge #78 without luck  I think this problem may have started after upgrading to Windows 10, but can't be sure. (Most of my printing is black & white, so may not have noticed the problem immediately, but have lived with this issue for a long time.)    Printer is attached to a Dell desktop running Windows 10, but also see problem printing from a Chromebook via Mobility Print over WiFi.

Unfortunately, due to its age, there are no drivers available for this printer. Or a firmware update. 

You may try to install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. Use Deskjet 990c driver if your printer is not listed.

Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.

 

If this does not help, and the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

I understand the printers are not printing in yellow. This issue is not related to Win 10. It seems like a hardware issue with the printer. 

Note: Due to the age of the printer, support options are limited. 

 

Perform the steps mentioned in these documents -  Color Images Print in Black and White and Cleaning and Maintaining the HP Deskjet 900 Series Printer

 

If the issue persists even after replacing the yellow ink cartridge, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. 

As the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

I have the same issue with two different printers (both are HP 932c).  It seems unlikely that both would develop the same exact color issue.  I didn't mention that my wife's Chromebook can't print unless the desktop is on, so it still goes through my desktop computer via MobilityPrint and WiFi.  I will try your suggestions to see if they help.  If not, I suspect a driver issue.
