Most Printers do not know what they have printed (or scanned, or copied).

Printers cannot reprint previous jobs.

"Yeah, but" - I've heard of this --

Select newer printers, for example, the OfficeJet Pro 9130e series, can keep a record of previous print jobs.  There is no apparent "reprint" option - just a nice job log.

There might be a couple of top-shelf Laser Printers that automatically keep print history and can reprint jobs held in memory.  These would be the exception and NOT the rule.  The feature would be explained in the printer's user manual.

Yes, Windows can be taught (set) to keep printed jobs for later reprint.

• The feature must be set up ahead of time.
• The Reprint feature is useful as long as the print queue is not destroyed, the jobs are not deleted from the queue, and the printer software is left installed and intact.  (Yes, the feature is kind of touchy.)
