To set your HP 4155 printer to print in color or switch back and forth between black & white (B&W) and color printing, you need to adjust the printer settings on your computer. Here are the steps for both Windows and Mac systems:

For Windows:

Open Printer Preferences:

  • Go to the Control Panel.
  • Click on Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on the HP DeskJet 4155 printer icon and select Printing Preferences.

Set to Color or Black & White:

  • In the Printing Preferences window, go to the Paper/Quality tab.
  • Look for the Color option. It usually has options like Color, Black & White, or Grayscale.
  • Select Color to print in color or Black & White or Grayscale to print in black and white.

Apply the Changes:

  • Click Apply and then OK to save the changes.

For Mac:

Open Printer Preferences:

  • Open a document or the file you want to print.
  • Go to File and then Print.
  • In the Print dialog box, choose your HP DeskJet 4155 printer from the list.

Set to Color or Black & White:

  • In the Print dialog box, click on Show Details if it's not already expanded.
  • Look for the Presets dropdown menu and ensure it's set to Default Settings.
  • Find the Color Options or Quality & Media section.
  • Select Color to print in color or Black & White or Grayscale to print in black and white.

Print:

  • After selecting the appropriate color setting, click Print.

Resetting Printer Preferences:

If you want to reset the printer preferences to default settings, you can do the following:

For Windows:

Access Printer Preferences:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4155 printer and select Printer Properties.

Reset to Default:

  • Navigate to the Advanced tab.
  • Click on Printing Defaults and then reset to the factory settings.

For Mac:

Open System Preferences:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 4155 printer from the list.

Reset Printer System:

  • Right-click or Control-click in the Printers list and choose Reset printing system.
  • This will remove all printers and reset the printing system. You will need to add your printer again by clicking the Add button (+) and following the prompts.
