Hi @comit21 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to perform a factory reset of your HP DeskJet 2510 printer before disposal, follow these steps:

Turn off the printer.

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the power cord.

  • Disconnect the power cord from both the printer and the power outlet.

Hold down the Cancel and Wireless buttons.

  • Press and hold the Cancel button (red triangle) and the Wireless button (blue radio wave icon) at the same time.

Reconnect the power cord.

  • While still holding the Cancel and Wireless buttons, plug the power cord back into the printer.

Wait for the printer to reset.

  • Release the buttons once the printer begins to reset. The printer will go through a reset process, and it will restore the factory settings.

Complete the reset.

  • The printer should now be reset to factory settings, and ready for disposal.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
