Hi @franko10 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY 6000 printer is only printing test reports and you need to find the printer's password, you typically won't find a specific password for the printer itself. However, you may need the Wi-Fi password if you're trying to connect your printer to a wireless network.
Here are some general steps to help you find or reset the Wi-Fi password for your HP ENVY 6000 printer:
- Check the Documentation: Look through the user manual or any documentation that came with your printer. Sometimes, the default Wi-Fi password is listed there.
- Check the Printer's Control Panel: Navigate through the printer's menu options using the control panel. Look for any network settings or Wi-Fi setup options. Some printers display the Wi-Fi password directly on the control panel.
- Access Printer Settings via Web Interface: You can access your printer's settings through a web browser if your printer supports it. First, ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Then, find the printer's IP address (usually available in the printer's settings menu or through a network configuration page). Enter the printer's IP address into your web browser's address bar. From there, you may be prompted to enter a username and password. If you haven't set up a username and password, the default credentials may be admin/admin or admin/password.
- Reset the Printer: If you still can't find the Wi-Fi password, you can reset the printer to its factory settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings you've configured on the printer. To reset the printer, locate the reset button on the printer (usually a small hole that requires a paperclip or pin to press). Press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until the printer resets.
