@Mikeyan88, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding How to Reset HP DeskJet 2742e to Factory Settings!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To reset your HP DeskJet 2742e printer to factory settings, follow these steps:

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer if it is currently on.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet.

Wait for a Moment:

  • Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds. This allows the printer to fully discharge any residual power.

Reconnect the Power Cord:

  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and the wall outlet.

Turn On the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn the printer back on.

Reset the Printer Settings:

  • Depending on your model, press and hold specific buttons to initiate a factory reset. For many HP printers, you can press and hold the "Cancel" and "Wireless" buttons simultaneously for around 3 seconds until the printer light starts blinking.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
