Hi @Henrietta-4,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error codes on HP OfficeJet printers are meant to indicate specific issues with the device. Error code "0x61011bed" on an HP printer typically points to a problem with the print mechanism or the carriage jam. Here's how you can try to resolve this issue.

Check for Obstructions: Turn off the printer and open all access doors, including the ink cartridge access door and the rear access door. Look for any paper jams, bits of torn paper, or foreign objects that might be obstructing the carriage's movement. Gently remove any debris you find.

Clear Paper Path: Make sure the paper path is clear of any obstructions. Check the input tray, output tray, and any paper paths within the printer.

Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about a minute. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can often help reset the printer's internal components.

Reset Printer: If the error persists, you can try performing a partial reset of the printer. Here's how:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect it to the printer's rear.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the error is resolved.

Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer model on the HP official website. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause various errors.

Check Carriage Path: The carriage is the component that holds the ink cartridges and moves back and forth during printing. Ensure that it can move freely along its path. If it's stuck, carefully move it back and forth to see if it loosens.

Inspect Ink Cartridges: Check the ink cartridges to make sure they are properly seated and not causing any obstructions. Sometimes, improperly installed cartridges can cause issues.

Perform Hard Reset: If none of the above steps work, you can try performing a hard reset on the printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while it's still turned off.
  • Press and hold the power button on the printer for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the printer and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
