Hi @gemboy57 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're locked out of the HP Officejet Pro 8620 E-All-In-One Printer because of an administrator lock, you'll typically need to perform a factory reset to regain access. However, please note that performing a factory reset will erase all settings and configurations on the printer, including any network settings, so you'll need to set them up again after the reset.
Here's how you can perform a factory reset on the HP Officejet Pro 8620:
Make sure the printer is powered on.
On the printer's control panel, touch the "Menu" button.
Navigate to "Service" or "Tools" using the arrow buttons, and then touch "OK" or "Select" to confirm.
Navigate to "Restore Defaults" or "Reset All Settings", and then touch "OK" or "Select" to confirm.
Follow any additional prompts to confirm the reset.
Once the reset is complete, the printer should restart automatically.
After the factory reset, you can set up your network settings again by accessing the printer's control panel or using the HP printer software on your computer.
If you're still unable to access the administrator settings after the factory reset,
Refer to this document: HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One Printer series
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
