Product: HP DeskJet 2722 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I set a custom password (printer pin) and have misplaced it. I would like to perform a factory reset on the printer and start all over. Please advise as to how I may do this.

Hello,

The firmware must be updated first if an older version is installed, else the reset will not be made.
Please update the printer's firmware: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-2700-all-in-one-printer-series/29378157/...
You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Press and hold the Color Copy () and Resume () buttons.

  3. Turn on the printer.

  4. Release the Color Copy and Resume buttons after 20 seconds.

  5. Now you should be able to reconfigure the printer etc...

 

If the reset does not work, I recommend that you contact HP Technical Support. Contact HP HP Support in your country/region.
