Hi @ROBININSKI

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for confirming the model—HP ENVY Photo 7855. Based on user reports and HP support threads, here’s a refined solution to help you print successfully on matte 110 lb cardstock without cutting off the top image or margins:

Why This Happens

  • The printer supports up to 72 lb cover stock (approx. 200 gsm) officially, but 110 lb (~300 gsm) exceeds that.
  • When printing from software (vs. copying), the printer uses default margin and feed settings that don’t accommodate thick media.
  • Borderless or full-page settings may conflict with heavy paper feed timing, causing misalignment.

Recommended Fixes

1. Use HP Smart App or Preview App on Mac

  • Open your file in Preview or HP Smart
  • Go to Print > Paper Type/Quality
  • Set Paper Type to “HP Matte Brochure” or “Heavyweight Matte”
  • Disable Borderless Printing
  • Set Top Margin to at least 0.5 inch (12.7 mm)

2. Feed One Sheet at a Time

  • Load cardstock manually into the main tray, not the photo tray.
  • Fan the paper and ensure no curl or bend.
  • Avoid stacking multiple sheets—this reduces feed errors.

3. Try Lighter Cardstock

If 110 lb consistently fails:

  • Use 80 lb matte cardstock (around 216 gsm)
  • This is within HP’s supported range and prints cleanly with margins intact

4. Update Firmware

Following these steps should fix the issue with the image being cut off on your cardstock. If needed, I can provide detailed instructions or links for driver updates.
