@GaryS001, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP LaserJet M1530 MFP series!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet M1530 MFP printer driver has either become corrupted, uninstalled, or is not being recognized correctly by your computer. Since you were able to print earlier and now only see the option to print to a PDF, try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Printer Connection

  • If using a USB connection, unplug and reconnect the printer cable to your computer.
  • If using Wi-Fi, restart the printer and ensure it’s connected to the correct network.

2. Verify Printer Status

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • See if your HP printer is listed and set as Default. If not:
    • Right-click the printer and select Set as default printer.
    • If your printer is missing, it may need to be reinstalled.

3. Restart Print Spooler Service

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart.

4. Reinstall or Update the Driver

  • Download the latest driver from HP support website.
  • Install the driver and follow on-screen instructions.
  • Alternatively, go to Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager)Printers → Right-click the HP printer → Update driver.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

Try these steps, and let me know if the issue persists! 🚀

Take care, and have an amazing day!
