The IP address assigned as a result of the printer being added to your network --

Unlike the printer's own MAC address, the IP address is not hard coded into the printer hardware.

The router than controls your network is in charge of assigning and managing the IP addresses used on that network.

If your printer is indeed on your network, the information about that connection is available on the printer's control panel and / or using the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Example - EWS

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Network > Primary Ethernet > Check / Adjust Status and other tabs...

OR

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Network > Wi-Fi > Section IP Config > IPv4

Important

If prompted for a password, enter the default printer PIN available on the label inside the printer access
door. If you have changed the password, enter your new password.

Reminder

Wi-Fi Direct is different from a standard Wireless connection. 

If you are not using Wi-Fi Direct, it can usually just be switched OFF at the printer's control panel.
