Hi Alden4, I have already tried running the program as administrator and same result. I have also installed the HP Smart app which did install a driver for WiFi setup, but it does not install driver for USB setup. So after installing the full driver package and then installing the HP Smart app, I have some functionality restored but the hp officejet pro 8620.exe file still does not launch correctly. It does come up with a choice of selecting a printer (either USB or wireless), but then crashes after you select? I checked under properties and there is no option to run in Windows 10 compatibility mode? Only Windows 7, 8 or Vista. When I select the USB installed printer with the HP Smart App, it can print and scan, but does not connect with printer to check ink status. But it does connect fine to the Wifi connected printer.

Hi @Rene105,
Thank you for your response,
Here are some additional suggestions you can consider,

Use HP Smart App:
- If you haven't already, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store. Make sure to log in with your HP account to access all features.
- After reinstalling, add the printer via the HP Smart app and check if you can access all functionalities.
Check for Conflicting Software:
- Sometimes, other printer software or drivers can conflict. Make sure there are no other printer drivers installed that might interfere with the HP software.

- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners and select Add a printer or scanner.
- Click on The printer that I want isn't listed.
- Choose Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, then select Use an existing port and choose USB.
- Select HP from the manufacturer and find a similar model to use the driver.
