the drivers that say "offline" drivers do not install the printer without the internet and i find that improper... if you are going to advertise that it is for offline use including setting printer up for use without using the internet to set it up means that the hp install app should not say you have to be on the internet to install or even try to open a web page instead it is suppose to unzip and install the software in the package... it does not do that... you have to download the package and unzip it then install the drivers without the install app.... customers spend good money on these hp products just to get duped into believing somethin that is not true....

@clintcraig, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration with the HP DeskJet 4152e printer setup process. Here are a few steps you can try to install the printer drivers without needing an internet connection:

Download the Offline Driver Package: Ensure you have the correct offline driver package for the HP DeskJet 4152e. You can usually find this on the HP support website.

Unzip the Package: Once downloaded, unzip the package to a folder on your computer.

Manual Installation:

  • Open the unzipped folder and look for a file named setup.exe or similar.
  • Right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator" to start the installation process.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Add Printer Manually:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Click on Add a printer and select Add a local printer.
  • Choose the port that your printer is connected to (usually USB).
  • Click on Have Disk and browse to the folder where you unzipped the driver package.
  • Select the appropriate .inf file and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

the issue is still not resolved.... would it really hurt your company to make an offline driver package that when you double click it....it automatically starts the setup.exe file instead of confusing your consumers with telling them lies about how a certain software package is downloaded and all you have to do is install it and it will install off line but it does not.... do you want to sell printers or not? i would think your time would be better spent making those programs instead of telling consumers how to unzip and install a program that states you only need to install it....
