this solution did not work.  still no colour option

this solution did not work.  No colour option in the properties.  the driver for this model is defective.

This may require remote access of the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

i've been pretty patient so far.  But we are getting to a point where i am truely stuggling to contain my frustration.

I can tell you this is the first HP printer I have owned.  I can also tell you it will be the last.  The way your company deals with customer problems is at best amatuer.  I and many others using this forum have identified a driver problem to you.  I have followed every bit of advice given and always ended up with the same problem as I had at the start.  In other words even with the latest recommended drivers installed it still does not give a colour option and other features are shown locked.

I'm no expert, but it would seem you aren't either so how about passing this issue to someone who is prepared to listen to what they are being told?
