Hi @karenmaine

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP DeskJet 3752 printer is having trouble printing, as it is displaying an orange light and the page is coming through blank. This could be caused by several issues, including a network connectivity problem, a driver issue, or an issue with the ink cartridges. Let's walk through some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem.

1. Check Printer's Network Connection

Since you mentioned that the printer is connected to the network, let's first ensure that the printer is properly connected to Wi-Fi:

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Via Printer Control Panel: On your printer, check if there is a Wi-Fi icon or indicator. If there’s a solid blue light, it means the printer is connected to the network. If there is a blinking or orange light, the printer might not be connected to the network properly.
  • Check Printer's Network Settings: You can print a Network Configuration Page to verify the connection:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until it starts blinking, then release it.
    • Wait a few seconds for the printer to print a page that will show the connection status.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi (if needed):

  • If the printer is not connected to your Wi-Fi network, follow these steps to reconnect:
    1. On the printer, press the Wi-Fi button (it may have an antenna symbol).
    2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to the correct Wi-Fi network.
    3. You can also use the HP Smart App (on your phone or computer) to help set up the connection.

2. Check for Ink Cartridge Issues

Blank pages often occur when there is an issue with the ink cartridges. Here’s how to check:

  • Check the Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer and ensure both cartridges (black and color) are seated correctly. If the printer is displaying an orange light, this could be an indicator of low or empty ink cartridges.
  • Replace Ink Cartridges: If you haven’t replaced the cartridges in a while, try replacing them with new, compatible cartridges.

3. Clear Print Queue

If there are print jobs stuck in the queue, they can prevent the printer from printing correctly.

  • Clear the Print Queue (on your computer):
    • Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on the HP printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any print jobs listed there.
    • macOS: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Open Print Queue. Cancel any pending print jobs.

4. Check for Paper Jam

A paper jam, even a small one, can cause issues with printing.

  • Inspect for Paper Jams: Open the printer and carefully check for any paper stuck in the feed path. Remove any paper or debris you find.

5. Reset the Printer

A printer reset might help clear the error:

  • Perform a Hard Reset:
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for 30 seconds.
    3. Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

6. Printer Driver and Software

Ensure that the printer driver is properly installedand up to date.

  • Reinstall or Update the Printer Driver:
    • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for the HP DeskJet 3752.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
