Hi @Leekon,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble scanning from your HP All-In-One Desktop PC 24, there could be several reasons for the issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. Check the USB or network cable connections to make sure they are secure.

Install the Latest Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the official HP website, locate your printer model, and download the latest drivers for your operating system.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a free tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can help diagnose and resolve printing and scanning issues. Download and run this tool from the HP support website.

Verify Scanner Settings:

  • Check the scanner settings on your All-In-One. Make sure that the scanning function is enabled, and the correct settings are configured.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Ensure that there are no conflicts with other software on your computer. Sometimes, third-party security software or firewalls may interfere with scanning processes.

Restart the Devices:

  • Restart both your computer and the printer. This can often resolve temporary glitches or communication issues.

Update Operating System:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, updates include fixes for compatibility issues with devices.

Reinstall the Printer Software:

  • Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it. This can resolve any corrupted files or settings causing the scanning problem.

Check for Paper Jams or Hardware Issues:

  • Make sure there are no paper jams or other hardware issues with the printer. If there are any physical problems, they may need to be addressed before scanning can resume.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
