@dj282, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Printer Not Printing Issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP printer is not printing or performing any actions, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the Power Source and Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is plugged into a working power outlet.
  • Check that the power cable is securely connected to the printer and the outlet.
  • Make sure the printer is turned on by pressing the power button.

Verify Printer Status:

  • Check the printer’s display panel for any error messages or alerts.
  • Make sure there are no warning lights (such as blinking ink or paper error lights) indicating a problem.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button or unplugging it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then turn the printer back on.

Check for Paper Jam:

  • Make sure there is no paper jam that might be preventing the printer from functioning.
  • Open the paper tray and inspect for any trapped paper inside the printer.

Verify Ink or Toner Levels:

  • Check the ink or toner levels on the printer’s display or through the printer software on your computer.
  • Replace any empty or low ink cartridges.

Reconnect to the Network or Computer:

  • If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure it is connected to the correct network.
  • For wired connections, make sure the Ethernet or USB cable is securely connected.
  • On your computer, make sure the printer is set as the default printing device.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed for your HP printer.
  • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
