Hi @denirable ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with setting up your HP Envy printer 6065e using the HP Smart app on your phone, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your smartphone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off both your phone and the printer.
  • Wait for a few seconds and then turn them back on.
  • Try setting up the printer again.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app. If not, update it from the app store.

Check Printer Status:

  • Make sure there are no error messages or paper jams on the printer.
  • Ensure that the printer is turned on and in a ready state.

Reset Printer:

  • If the issue persists, you may try resetting the printer. Check the printer manual for instructions on how to reset it.

Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:

  • On your phone, forget the Wi-Fi network to which the printer is connected.
  • Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network and attempt the setup again.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app from your phone.
  • Reinstall the app from the app store and try setting up the printer again.

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • Check if your router supports WPS. If it does, you can try using the WPS method for connecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
