Hi,
I bought the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw in Europe. Now, I returned to East Timor (island between Indonesia and Australia) and continued to use it. As the toner ran out, I bought one set of black toners (206A). However, it shows “ incompatible toner cartridge” error after replacing, because it was using 207A. I saw you have to reset the configuration to the new region. Anybody can help?

Hi @Juergen24,
Welcome to the HP support community.
You've run into HP's regionalization restriction, which means your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw is still locked to the Europe region, and now you’re trying to use toner from another region (likely Asia-Pacific), such as the 206A toner, which is incompatible with European-configured printers that use 207A toner.
To use 206A cartridges, your printer must be regionally reset to match the new toner region. However, this reset is not user-accessible and must be done by HP remote Support.
Please help us with the Printer serial number or the product number in a private message for further assistance.
