Hi @ray6666

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printer installation issue.

Please try these steps -

1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".

2. Look for HP Printer software.

3. Right-click to uninstall.

4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.

5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.

6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).

8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.

9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.

10. Select Ok.

11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.

12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.

13. Restart the computer.

14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 10 (64-bit).

15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, try these steps -

1) Right-click on the Start or the Windows icon and open run.

2) In the Run box, type %temp% and hit on "Ok". This will open the "Temp" folder.

3) Select "Date Modified" to "Today" and look for a 7z.... folder.

4) Open the folder and look for a .msi file.

5) Right click on it to install.

Try running the downloaded file in compatibility mode. Once the driver is downloaded, right click on the download in the browser and then click on "Show in folder". Right click on "Properties" and then click on the "Compatibility" tab. Select, "Run this compatibility mode for:" - Windows Vista. Also, check the box for "Run this program as an administrator".

I had already found where Network64.msi lived and successfully got past that snag.  (the file you pointed to is for the G510n-z which is for a wireless printer and will not find my wired G510g-m) Using the correct install program from the web for my printer after deleting the drivers i still hit a snag. It finds the printer and says it has correctly installed it and goes back to the main install program which is now on installing software and stays there until it finally pops a window and says fatal error. clicking ok, it then uninstalls some of the program. If i force the install program to close, the printer is installed to be able to print but the HP Solution Center will not open saying the printer is not completely installed.

Error logs HPZCSHIM003 says: ||IsPresent(): Bad handle to device. Exiting.

HPZSSCUSW005 says:  EnumMethods returns 101

HPZSCNOP003 says: EnumMethods returns 103

When I got this computer, I installed the printer and it was constantly throwing up windows errors but always worked correctly.

I reintalled and everything worked but every time it said it had updates to install, clicking ok got me an error: not found. the path was to my local computer to a non-existent file

I have tried uninstall/install maybe 10 times; the last three give the error shown above.

Help.

2. Select Settings.
3. Tap Accounts.
4. Select Family & other users.
5. Tap "Add someone else to this PC."
6. Select "I don't have this person's sign-in information."
7. Select "Add a user without a Microsoft account."
8. Enter a username, type the account's password twice, enter a clue and select Next.
9. Tap the Windows icon.
10. Select the User icon at the upper left corner of the Start menu.
11. Select the new user. You'll then sign into your account with your password from step 8.

That did not work. The install program still loaded into my user account which is the same place as it does when logged into my account. I see your point maybe and will delete everything in the temp folder and try again. I have rebooted the computer, printer & router.

HP Recommended

OK. ran uninstall, deleted everything in the HP subdirectory, deleted everything in the user\…\temp directory, stopped HPupdate & removed.

rebooted

ran install. Now it can't find the printer.  I can get to the printer via a browser; I can print; the printer say not connected to a computer. scan doctor says registry error, HP Scan Flow Manager error. HP Solution center will not run - says not finished installing.

What have I done wrong now?
