Hi,

The printer is supported on macOS 10.14 or later versions, it is incompatible with any later operating systems:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07062170#AbT17

As this is an HP Plus printer which requires activation first, you may try setting up and activating the printer first from a supported device, such as a mobile device and connect the printer to your home WiFi :

HP+ OfficeJet printers - Setup Using HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS, IPadOS)

Or from another supported computer:

HP+ OfficeJet printers - Setup Using HP Smart App (Windows 10, MacOS)

Once the printer is ready you may try using it from your Mac with Apple AirPrint, although not officially supported it may work for a wireless network connection so surely worth a shot:

Let me answer this way:

After a series of daily long sessions with HP technicians --who were excellent to make my 6400e work for a few hours or days-- I tossed it and bought a Canon printer.
