Hello

I just purchased this printer and after much pain and swearing I am able to print. However, I cannot print the 'info page' to get the claim code when accessing the printer via a browser using the printer's IP address. I click print and nothing happens. Steps taken to resolve the issue:

- enabled and then removed web services (twice)

- upgraded firmware

- factory reset

If i print the info page via the buttons on the printer then the code given doesn't work when using the app (invalid). I should also add on the printed sheet it says in bold 'This printer is not connected to the internet.'  However, web services tells me otherwise :

"Internet connection Connected"

Please can someone advise to stop either me or the printer flying out of the window.

Thanks in advance

D.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Assign manual IP to the printer-

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Betty

Thank you for responding and apologies for the delay in responding.

I have followed your instructions and now ipv4 settings are as follows:

Configured By Manual

IP Address 192.168.1.15

Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway 192.168.1.1

DNSv4   Configured By Manual

Preferred DNS Address 8.8.8.8

Alternate DNS Address 8.8.4.4

Sadly, I am still unable to print 'print info page' via the browser using the IP address of the printer which means I am still unable to get a code for HP instant INK. I think I will now miss the 7 day deadline for this.

Do you have any other suggestions, please?

Thanks in advance,

Darren.
