Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Doing a clean uninstallation and reinstalling the HP full feature drivers will resolve this issue, let us try these steps:

Step 1: Clean uninstallation of HP drivers

  1.  In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
  2.  Select your HP Printer
  3.  Select Uninstall
  4.  In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
  5.  In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
  6.  Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
  7.  Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
  8.  Click on the “Drivers” tab
  9.  Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
  10.  Select Ok
  11.  Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
  12.  Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.

Step 2: Make sure your printer and computer are connected to the same wireless network

  • Prepare for the connection

Before setting up the printer on your wireless network, gather the network name and password, and turn on your router, printer, and computer.

  1. Gather the following items:

    • Network name: The network name is the SSID (Service Set Identifier).

    • Network password: The password might also be called the WEP key or WPA security passphrase.

    • A computer connected to your wireless network

    • Internet access: HP recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL for software downloads, using Web Services, and getting printer updates.

  2. Make sure the router and computer are turned on, and that the computer is connected to the same wireless network to which you want to connect the printer. Turn on the printer and place it close to the computer and within range of the router during the setup procedure.

  3. Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer.

  • Connect to the wireless network

The Wireless Setup Wizard provides an easy way to set up and manage the wireless connection to your printer.

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

  2. Touch the right arrow  to display the second navigation screen.

  3. Touch Setup , and then touch Network.

  4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch Continue. The Wireless Setup Wizard searches for networks, and then displays them in a list.

  5. If necessary, touch the down arrow  to scroll through the network names until you find yours.

  6. Touch the name of your network, and then touch OK.

If the list does not contain your network name, touch Refresh. The Wireless Setup Wizard searches for networks again, and then displays them in another list. Check the list for your network.

Step 3: Click here to download and install a fresh copy of HP drivers

Note: Once the file is downloaded, make sure to run the file to begin installation

Let me know how this goes.
