Hi @sirepi ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you don't have a disk reader on your MacBook running macOS Ventura 13.6.1, you can still install the HP Deskjet F4200 printer by following these steps:

  • Download Drivers: Visit the official HP website or the support page for your printer model. Look for the drivers and software section. Download the appropriate drivers for macOS Ventura 13.6.1.   Mac OS ver 10.9 is available.      -Software and Drivers for HP Deskjet F4200 All-in-One Printer series
  • Install Drivers: Once the drivers are downloaded, locate the downloaded file (usually in the Downloads folder) and double-click on it to start the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers onto your MacBook.
  • Connect Printer: Connect your HP Deskjet F4200 printer to your MacBook using a USB cable. Make sure the printer is powered on.
  • Add Printer: Go to System Preferences on your MacBook by clicking on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of the screen and selecting "System Preferences."
  • Printers & Scanners: In the System Preferences window, click on "Printers & Scanners."
  • Add Printer: Click the "+" button below the list of printers on the left side of the window. Your MacBook will search for available printers.
  • Select Printer: Your HP Deskjet F4200 should appear in the list of available printers. Select it.
  • Complete Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the setup process. This may involve selecting the printer model, confirming settings, etc.
  • Test Print: Once the setup is complete, try printing a test page to ensure that the printer is working correctly.

Thank you, Gaya. I had figured out but it doesn't print now. I saw ways of correcting it but in nedds to restart the computer. Last time I did it had to send the macbook to repair to recover it. My computer has too many gliches. I have an HP pavillion too but just got the "white screen" and haven't fixed it yet.
