the printer says it is out of paper and I have tired everything. I even upgraded to latest OS. It will print using HP app but only out of web browser. It will print using hp bw driver. Apple couldnt not help. Doe anyone no the solution to this issue.

 

And also why I cant get the HP web site to work properly so I can even contact them directly?

If your HP LaserJet 3201 is showing an "out of paper" status when printing from certain applications on your Mac, even though it prints fine using the HP app, there are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

 

Check Paper Tray:

  • Ensure that the paper tray is not empty and that the paper is loaded correctly.
  • Confirm the paper size settings match the paper loaded in the tray.

Reset Printing System:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list and select "Reset Printing System".
  • Re-add your HP LaserJet 3201 by clicking the "+" button and selecting your printer.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Download and install the latest drivers for your printer from the HP Support website.
  • Make sure you select the correct macOS version and download the most recent HP BW driver if necessary.

Use HP Smart App:

  • If printing from web browsers is working fine via the HP app, continue using this method as a workaround.
  • You can download the HP Smart App from the App Store for broader functionality.
