HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1. Make sure that the HP Smart App is closed. Then turn off the printer with the power button, but leave plugged into power outlet. There should be no other cables connected to the printer.

2. Hold down the button with an arrow/X. Turn the printer back on while continuing to hold the Arrow/X button for 20 seconds, then release. This will reset the printer itself.

3. On the computer, right click on the Windows start button and left click on Apps & Features. Scroll down to the HP Smart app, left click on it once and then left click on Advanced Options.

4. Scroll down to Reset section and click the Reset Button. You will get spinning dots, wait till that goes away and you get a checkmark. You can then close the settings window.

5. Open the HP smart app and click on the Person icon in the top left hand corner. Go ahead and sign in or create an HP account.

6. Proceed with the Add Printer setup wizard. It should be fairly straight forward from there and the install should  complete.
